Hello, I'm Stephanie Soto.

I am a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner, Founder and CEO of The Sales Nurse. I transitioned from my role as an FNP into the Medical Device Sales industry. My passion has always been Healthcare. I spent over ten years working in a Level 1 Trauma Center in NYC, and then spent two years in Interventional Radiology, with a strong focus in Neuro Intervention. Interacting with patients and providing great care is something I have always valued and has always brought me a sense of purpose and meaning in my career.

After working through the COVID-19 Pandemic in NYC I decided to explore options outside of direct patient care and found myself on the corporate side of Medical Device Sales. During this transition I quickly realized SO MANY of us in healthcare did not even know this industry was an option, or the growth opportunities and income potential that are possible with this transition.

I was a young single mother to a beautiful little girl when I pursued a career in Nursing. At the time it afforded me the income and flexibility to be able to both provide and be a present parent.

I started working at my local hospital in Staten Island, NY when I was just 19 years old. In my 15 years working at that hospital I worked my way up from a clerical position to a Nurse Practitioner. I started in an office setting staffing nurses for their shifts, then moved to clerical position in the Emergency Department. It was there that I realized I loved the Adrenaline-Rush and fast pace of the Emergency Room setting.

I had my daughter at just 21 years old, and knew I needed to make a major change. I graduated from nursing school and went on to get my Bachelor’s degree, and Master’s Degree. Nursing is such a wonderful and diverse career that has afforded me so many opportunities to learn, grow and advance my skillset. It has challenged me in so many ways as well. It has taught me to put my judgments aside, to ALWAYS try to do No-Harm, to put patients first and to both EDUCATE and ADVOCATE for those who cannot find their voice.

An industry at the forefront of medical innovation and technology WANTS people like you and I to be in these rooms, because we have first-hand knowledge of what it is like to directly care for these patients, and a unique understanding of the patient as a whole. There are many days I make an even greater IMPACT on patient care outcomes from this side of the industry.

These options apply to any and every sub-specialty. If your interest is in Aesthetics, Critical Care, Neuro, Cardiology, Orthopedics etc. There are companies creating products as simple as the pulse oximeter that you place on a patient’s finger, to the lifesaving ECMO machine you utilize in the ICU.

I am here to bring awareness to this Industry and to tell you there are OPTIONS beyond the bedside.
